Mixers play a vital role in many industries, including construction, food processing, and chemicals. To ensure your mixer maintains optimal working condition and extends its lifespan, proper maintenance is crucial.

 

Daily Inspection Points

 

1. Visual Inspection: Before starting the machine each day, run it around once. Check the mixer body for obvious dents or scratches, as these may affect the mixer's sealing or structural strength.

Also, check if the connecting bolts of each component are loose. Loose bolts may cause parts to shift during operation, leading to problems. For example, loose bolts between the mixing drum and the support frame can cause the drum to wobble, affecting mixing efficiency and potentially damaging the equipment.

 

2. Electrical System Inspection: Check the electrical distribution box of the mixer for damaged or aged wiring. Damaged wire insulation can easily lead to electrical leakage, which is very dangerous. Also, test the switches to ensure they can be opened and closed normally. If the switch malfunctions, failing to start when it should or stop when it should, that would be disastrous. Also, check the motor temperature. If the motor is hot, there's likely a problem; you need to quickly check whether it's due to excessive load or a motor malfunction.

 

3. Transmission Component Inspection: Check the belts or chains to see if their tension is sufficient.

If they're too loose, they'll slip, affecting power transmission and slowing down the mixing speed; if they're too tight, it will increase wear on the components. Also check the belts and chains for wear or missing teeth.

If any are found, replace them immediately, otherwise it will affect the normal operation of the mixer. Finally, feel the coupling to see if the connection is secure, and whether there's any looseness or unusual noise.
