When working as a chef, a food blender is indispensable for making beverages. For example, it's essential for drinks like milk tea and smoothies. The function of a blender is similar to a soy milk maker, both using blades to chop food. However, a blender's blades are more powerful, significantly reducing blending time. The methods of use also differ; some recipes cannot be made using a household blender like a soy milk maker, otherwise, the small appliance will break. Therefore, the correct usage method is crucial when choosing this tool. How do you use a small household food blender to get it running quickly? Use it to make soy milk, fresh juice, dumpling fillings, grind powders, make chili sauce, ice cream, milkshakes, sesame paste, and more-nutritious and healthy options. I'll share my usual methods for using a blender and explain some important points to note during use, so you can make nutritious and healthy drinks and ingredients.
How to use a household food blender and how to make delicious food with it?
First, wash and dice the food. Then, cook any food that cannot be eaten raw in a pot. Ice cubes and chili peppers do not need to be cooked. When making soy milk with a blender, first heat the soybeans in a pot, preferably a cast iron wok to prevent burning. An induction cooker may burn more easily, but it's also acceptable. Meat also needs to be cooked. The order of washing and cooking depends on the food you're making. Since the blended product is intended for direct consumption, I won't go into detail about that.
First, place the blade assembly, then put the chopped food into the central protrusion of the chopping cup, and then put it directly into the blender. Add the diced food to the cup. At this point, you can choose to add some auxiliary ingredients to mix, or add them after blending. Add seasonings according to your personal taste.
Once the appropriate amount of washed ingredients has been placed in the blending cup, add water or milk to the machine, and tighten the lid to prevent overflow. Place the lid inside the machine.
Plug in the power and chop the food as needed. Press the switch for 10-20 seconds. Meat generally requires 30 seconds to chop, while vegetables and fruits only need 15 seconds. During this step, each press should not exceed 30 seconds. If chopping is not complete after 30 seconds, allow the machine to rest for 2 minutes before continuing. This helps the machine operate better. The switch may be located on the top or side of the machine; when pressing, press the button continuously and do not exceed 30 seconds.
After finishing, unplug the power. The blended food will come out quickly. This is pure, natural, and additive-free. If you only want juice, you can blend it several times and filter it through a fine mesh screen to remove any residue and ensure a delicious drink.
After drinking, rinse the blending cup with clean water. If spillage occurs during use, you can disassemble the machine for cleaning. Gently wipe the machine with a wrung-out damp cloth, then store it in a cabinet or kitchen.
